To anyone in the business word watching Disney and the upcoming Disney+ service, I’m saying this now: Disney+ will be a game changer for both the streaming market and the Walt Disney Company itself. I’m not aware of a media empire that even comes close to the massive scope of the Disney “joyverse”. They are a sleeping giant, a dormant volcano just waiting to erupt.
Disney has barely tapped into the goldmine that is data science. A company as big as Disney is barely making use of big data. Look at what data science has done for companies like Apple, Amazon, Microsoft and Google. And Disney has barely made use of it so far. That’s insane! Now that they are going all in with Disney+.... things are going to change. The Mouse wants more.
I’m going to make a bold prediction. Within 5 years, I predict Disney will approach Apple levels of wealth. The Disney brand portfolio is just so massive. I highly suggest investing stock in Disney if you haven’t. Disney is always safe to invest in because of how stable they are. But with this growth that is about to happen... that stock is certainty going to dramatically rise in value.
